Best Practices for Self-Care

About me

I was born in Lakeforest, Illinois, and grew up outside of Chicago in a small town called Round Lake. I have never been close with my family and was left on my own at an early age.

I am

I have experienced Power and Control issues from abusive people most of my life but still have the will to get through some tough circumstances while remaining positive somehow.

I do my best to help other people when I can but I am still looking for happiness. I am 53 and have never been married.

I am two years into my Business Management Degree and am the first of my family to go to school past high school.

I have learned that the most important things in my life are two things, God for always keeping me safe, and my children who I love to no end.

going to college now for the first time in my life at 52 because of my passion to help abused children, and to stop this from continuing to happen to children.

I have been through some extremely difficult times in my life and have had a hard time getting help of any kind from anyone. I still struggle to accomplish some simple tasks but I focus and push myself so I have the ability to help the ones who need it the most, the children, they can’t defend themselves.

I have three kiddos of my own, and a granddaughter but each of them were taken away from me, destroying me more each time. My children are my heart and I consistently worry about them and have to find a way to get back to fight for the little ones.

I started this organization to help restore children from traumatic events in their lives that have damaging life effects. Every child deserves a chance at a good life and they have the right to thrive.
